RJ Silva

RJ Silva is a multifaceted Filipino creative, born and raised in Manila, the Philippines.

After a career as a creative producer for Walt Disney Imagineering and managing creative work for the Epcot park and throughout Walt Disney World, RJ moved back to Chicago where he pursued creative efforts in writing and theatre. As the recently appointed Artistic Director for CIRCA Pintig, Chicago’s Filipino theatre and community arts organization, he spearheaded the Chicago Filipino American Theatre Festival, the first of its kind in the Midwest region. CIRCA Pintig credits also include directing Every Brilliant Thing in 2025, and performing in Daryo’s All-American Diner in 2023, voted Best New Play by the Chicago Reader. As a Chicago artist, he has performed with Theo Ubique, Filament Theatre.

As a playwright, his play Hail Mary/Maria has received workshops in Chicago, San Francisco, and Seattle. His ten minute plays have been performed for PlayGround and CIRCA Pintig. He has also written solo storytelling pieces and have performed them with 2nd Story Chicago.

In 2021, he founded The Ampliverse, a multimedia channel for pop culture podcasts and content. His video podcast Boys Love Boys Love catapulted the channel into 16.5K subscribers, and has led to its evolution to a production company, developing new series and film works and is currently in production for its first web series which RJ wrote, the romantic comedy “Eat Cute.”
